Content Removal Requests (Copyright, Counterfeit, Illegal Content)
Individuals, companies, and government/public bodies can request listing removal where content appears unlawful or infringes rights (for example copyright infringement, counterfeit goods, or fraudulent listings).
Send requests to safety@obid.co.uk with subject line Content Removal Request.
What to include
- Your full legal name, organisation (if applicable), and contact details.
- A description of the protected work or right being infringed, and why you are the rights holder or authorised representative.
- The exact obid listing URL(s) you want removed.
- If available, the original source URL or reference proving ownership/authenticity.
- A good-faith statement that the use or listing is unauthorised or unlawful.
- The action requested (for example removal, disabling access, or urgent review).
How we handle requests
- We review actionable reports as quickly as possible and may remove or restrict a listing while checks are completed.
- We may request additional evidence before final action where information is incomplete.
- Where appropriate, we may notify the listing party and provide a route to respond.
Privacy and disclosure: obid does not disclose personal information about users to private complainants unless required by law, court order, or other valid legal process.
